I have run multiple arcade sites with various of software packages and licenses. My personal experience with each of them is totally different and used them quite intensively. Personally I wont describe or share my experience about any of them besides Arcade Booster.
Back in the day AV Arcade died (2 years ago) and no new versions came out for a wile I started my search for a new script to run with. And I had high demands like support for HTML5 and optionally Unity3D which could be automatically imported category wise. Also it had to be a one time installation with every thing running internally (Updating from the script). So I stumbled upon Arcade Booster some what a year and a half ago, wile it was still being developed. I was personally doubting it would be ever released since Mochi was bleeding to death.
Eventually till the beginning of this week I stumbled upon Google Trends and noticed arcades were still desired and such. So I took the shot on Arcade Booster after reviewing and reading allot on their site. Al tho I was not convinced and still took the shot, after buying it instantly delivered with the download link and licence.
After installing it you get a bunch of (usefull) resources of importing from an old arcade to a Arcade Booster. After going trough the settings (5 to 10 minutes work for an experienced user) I was pleased by the ease and access what you have etc. Also the first thing I noticed was the advanced and first proper SEO backend. After slapping in the keywords and checking the source code I was happily pleased that it worked from out of the box.
After messing around I set up the premium (included) template (Booster) and edited as desired. Slapped in the adds with a 3 to 5 min html editing ads displayed fine from GameCPM (Great customer service too btw!). After finishing it off by getting to know what is where and what does what I noticed it is feature packed!
As for messing around for a day I already have the pro's and con's:
Pro's:
- Easy to:
-- Use,
-- Handle,
-- Work with,
- Fully automated,
- Great and Proper SEO build in,
- Actually fun to maintain!
- Spend more time with friends and family,
- Quite light weight,
Cons:
- None found so far! ~:[
Also I had a good chat with the support of the script, they are kind and respectfull and definitely are an ace at it. Even had some talk about their upcoming stuff (I do not know if I can tell it) and I can guarantee it will be great!
